  HTML or HTM (what is the difference?)

What is the difference between .htm and .html files? Which should I use? easy question, right? Just wondering...

Old operative systems (MS-DOS, windows 3, etc) used the 8.3 file name format. That is 8 characters max for the filename and 3 characters max for the extension. Thus HTML files could only have the .htm extension.

Now with newer operative systems allowing longer file extensions, we can use .html with no problems at all.

So, it is pretty much up to you whichever you want to use.

Yes but for backward compatibility ou are encouraged to use the .htm extension. ;)
