Table should ALWAYS be bigger than its content

Hello, I'm working with tables and I'm having troubles with the size of them. If you don't set sizes for the table it will expand to fit all its content, but I would like the table to be 10 or 20 px bigger than it should.

Part of the problem I have is that sometimes I don't know the size of the content, so I don't have a basis to make the other calculations. How do you think you would code this kind of table?

Thanks for your time guys.
