hi, what would be the best way to make a site with a navigation bar, an image on the top, like a header, and another bunch of links on the bottom, with a section on the center to show the content according to the selection of the user on the navigation bar. so the only section that is going to change is the one of the center with the content.

what would be best? divs? frames? a combination of them? thanks.

yes, server-side its the best.

but if your tools are divs and iframes, you can do it with frames alone, no need for the divs. heres a link about using frames.

http://scriptingok.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=33 also check the tutorial section about frames.

As Mr. Strauss said, I would use PHP or ASP to create fixed headers and footers and let only the body change.

As for the main layout of the page, I would use a table or a combination of div's
