You know how to use frames, right? but do you know how to use layers instead?

For example i would like to have a table with 2 cells throughout all the screen. The cell on the left would have a background and its own css class. The cell on the right would have its own background and css style as well. So if you send a link to the either cell it would inherit the style of that cell, do you know how to do it?

Why wouldnt you use frames? Have you considered iframes?

In any case the css styles should be added to each document, not to the container.
